Beaches

Tenerife has more than 140 natural and artificial beautiful beaches mostly with a grain of fine and soft sand.  Although our homes are located in a rural setting, we have in its vicinity with many and various beaches. If you like beaches rarely visited, just ten minutes drive from the houses, in the municipality of Fasnia, you’ll find the following: Los Roques, Los Abrigos and Playa Las Eras (both sand black).

A little further, on the shores of Arico, twenty minutes by car, find magnificent white sand beaches such as Playa Grande Porís de Abona or Cardones beach, near Abades.

In the municipalities of Arona and Adeje, just over half an hour drive by motorway, you can find many artificial and natural beaches with more tourist influence where you can  practice different water activities like jet skiing, parasending, bob diving, fishing … or if what you are sailing activities, then you have to visit the splendid beaches of El Medano, the longest on the island, with many schools that will provide everything you need to play the sport you want: Kite surfing, windsurfing , surfing, .. 

Also in close proximity are other beaches, like those of the municipality of Guimar ( Puertito ,18 minute drive) or Candelaria ( the Punta Larga beach , 22 minutes by car ). Towards Santa Cruz you will find the excellent sandy beaches Radazul (25 minute drive), recently improved.

Finally, we can not forget the Teresitas, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife as one of the most visited beaches along the northern beaches of the island, including Playa Jardín in the Municipality of Puerto de la Cruz.
