The Museum of Nature and Man. – It´s housed in a landmark building in the capital, the Old Civil Hospital, outstanding example of neoclassical architecture of the island, where you will find a thorough and entertaining overview of the natural wealth of the Canary Islands and Hispanic populations that inhabited them. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 19:00 pm and Sunday admission is free.
The Art Room Sinks. – Located in the former building of the city laundries, Chevilly Carlos Street (Rear of hotel Mencey).
Fuerte de Almeyda. – Headquarters of the Military History Museum of the Canaries.
Catillo San Cristóbal (San Cristóblal Castle Museum). – It was the main pillar of the defensive from the bay of Santa Cruz. At present there are still some walls of the original building that can be seen in an underground gallery of the Plaza of Spain.
Inside it exposes the Tiger Canyon, world famous for the battle of July 25, 1797 during which he was defeated Admiral Horatio Nelson in his attempt to invade the city.
El TEA (Contemporary Art). – Which occupies building designed by architects Jacques Herzog, Pierre de Meuron and Virgilio Gutierrez. This cultural space also hosts Óscar Domínguez Institute, the Center for Photography and Tenerife Island Network library.
The Auditorio de Tenerife. – It is a strong impact sculptural building, designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. Set in a landscaped setting unmatched offers us the opportunity to enjoy a great work of architecture along with other nature, as the sea and the mountain range that forms the ancient Anaga. If you visit us during the months of January and February will have the opportunity to attend one of the concerts of the Canary Islands Music Festival, one of the best classical music festivals in Europe, which has been held continuously for 29 years.
The Calle de La Noria. – Welcomes a lively nightlife with its traditional houses occupied by bars and taverns.
The church of San Francisco,La plaza del Príncipe ( the Prince of Asturias square), Plaza de La Candelaria, El Mercado (municipal market) are some of the must to see how the old and the contemporary blend.
If you want a shopping day most stores you will find them in the center, with a wide range of traditional shops that offer quality and personalized service to its customers, we recommend you visit Viera y Clavijo Street, La calle del Castillo ( Castle Street) , La calle del Pilar ( Pilar Street) … and take a coffee at any of the bars and cafes you find in your path.
Finally, If  you want  a bath on the beach, be sure to visit the Playa de Las Teresitas, about seven kilometers from the city, with its original African dust.
