Visit the wineries (bodegas)
The wines from the Canary Islands are of remarkable quality . To ensure that high quality are the regulatory boards of the different Denominations of Origin. The seal of the designation of origin guarantees the origin of the wine and the good quality of this .
In La Casa -Museo del Vino ” La Baranda ” (El Sauzal ) will offer you the opportunity to learn about the rich wine heritage of our island.
We suggest you also visit some of the many wineries (Bodegas) in the South of the island. The best known are the “Bodega Cumbres de Abona ” (in the village of Arico , very close to our homes ) , the “Bodega Frontos ” (in Los Blanquitos , Granadilla) and “Bodega Contiempo ” (in Güímar ).
Other wineries that you can visit in the North of the island, are “Bodegas Monje” (in El Sauzal ) , “Bodegas Dominguez ” ( in Tacoronte) and ” Bodegas El Lomo ” (in Tegueste ).
But certainly, the most authentic experience is to visit some of the small, typical Fasnia wineries, all built in caves carved into the volcanic rock. Be sure to try the wine in South Tenerife. White wines are spectacular.
